Week 43: Forest City, North Carolina

WELL! I GOT ETd!!! WOOHOO!!!!

Just kidding. I miss Rockwood so much already :(

An "ET" is an Emergency Transfer. It's for when missionaries have to be moved between regular transfer cycles for certain reasons (usually involves not being able to get along with your companion). I was one of 4 companionships affected, according to the President. I basically just drew the shortest straw and had to take a hit for no reason and move to the complete opposite side of the mission. I got along with Elder Patterson really well so I'm sad that I couldn't finish the transfer with him but I guess I had to take one for the team.

I've been here since Wednesday and boy is the scenery beautiful, like it is really pretty out here. If I were smart I would have taken pictures so that you don't have to take my word for it, but I'm pretty bad at the whole picture taking thing.  I'll try to remember to take pictures this next week of some of the scenery and my companion.

My companion's name is Elder Hull. He's pretty cool. He's really into knives like me so we get along pretty well.

I'm still the driver so I should be able to learn the area pretty quick. I'll most likely only be with Elder Hull for the remainder of this transfer cycle (about 3 more weeks) so I really have to step up and learn this place good.

Our area is pretty giant, like a few times bigger than my last 2 areas. We cover like 3 counties. Since we only get a certain amount of miles we can drive each month, mile management is very important.

Well, sorry for such a long update and a lack of cool stories; hopefully something awesome will happen this week that I can share with all of you guys.

Miss you all!
Love,
Elder Christensen
