Week 8: How Much is Too Much?

So this week was way busy, but not really busy in the normal sense.  Usually busy would mean teaching lots of lessons and meeting new people, BUUUUT we did a ton of other stuff this week.

Monday we drove to Sevierville (where Dollywood is) to hang out with the elders and sisters up there for p-day. We went to a big knife store called Knife Works and I may have bought something, or maybe not.

Tuesday was honestly pretty slow. We didn't really meet too many people that day, but we play basketball at the church there every week at 7.

Wednesday was MLC, Missionary Leadership Council. My companion is the district leader so he had to go to that, but since I'm not a leader I didn't go to that so I switched with someone else for the day and I ended up in a bike area for a day with a different elder.

Thursday and Friday was really busy.  On Thursday we turned the church gym into a Doctor Who themed wedding.  On Friday it was the wedding. We had to stay for the whole thing so we could lock up.  The wedding was one of our investigators who was marrying a less active member in our ward. We were teaching them and they mentioned wanting to get married so we offered the building to use for their wedding.  They then told the Bishop they were going to have a Doctor Who theme. His face was priceless but he went with it and even wore a scarf from the show while marrying them.  I have a ton of pictures. It was a fun night but we were pretty busy being minionaries the whole time making sure nothing went wrong.  I've never actually seen the show but most of the people that came had, so it was pretty fun for them to see all the cool decorations.

ONE LAST STORY

On Tuesday the other elders in our area broke into our house and moved our mattresses from off our beds into the shower and hid our bedding throughout the apartment. We ended up finding it all pretty quick, but they totally started a war.  On Saturday it was transfer calls and we went over there so we could all hear who was leaving their areas.  After that they had to go out and do something, so we kind of just went back into their apartment and stole one of their mattresses.  It's like a memory foam mattress that he lugs around everywhere. We had it until today, so he had to sleep without it for 2 nights. (There was another mattress in their apartment since he had brought his own memory foam one so he wasn't on the ground or anything.)  It was pretty funny and he was pretty mad but totally worth it.

Also, how do you know if you have too much pop in your fridge?  We haven't decided if we need more or not, but essentially this is what our fridge looks like most of the time…
