Week 77: Ingrown Toenail Part 2

So remember how I had an ingrown toenail? I had to get one removed from the other foot this time! WOOHOO! I guess tracting isn't so good for them toenails.

We hit some record high numbers this week which was cool. We taught over 40 lessons.

Workouts are as intense as ever at Jake's.

Life is good up here in Johnson City (minus the whole toes thing)

Thanksgiving was pretty great. We had one meal at 3, and then another meal at 4. It was pretty rough to try and eat that much food in a short period of time. I also played football for the second time in my life (The first time being the turkey bowl last year). I'm pretty bad at football.

If Y'all haven't heard of the Light the World Initiative, then you are missing out. It's like a 2-minute video about how we can bring the real spirit of Christmas back by serving others. https://www.mormon.org/ It's right on the front page.

Hope Y'all are having a good time! Christmas is jumping up just around the corner.

Week 76: Hype

So since P-Day was so fun today I don't even remember what happened last week; all I remember is that we taught like a ton of lessons.

So we start out with some working out and so I recorded one of my sets (Attached).

Then right after that since we didn't do legs we went straight to the trampoline park to record some dope videos!

Then we went to subway and now they have $6 footlong sub of the day, so I got myself a sweet onion chicken teriyaki and it was dang good.

And now here we are, sitting around emailing. Just figured I'd tell y'all how cool P-Day was so you could be jealous!

Transfers are this Wednesday and Elder Simonson and I are staying together! WOOHOO!

I have way too much adrenaline pumping right now to write anything so I'm going to sign off here.

Love y'all!

Week 75: Mansion

So me and Elder Simonson were knocking some doors in a crazy rich neighbourhood and we usually get 0 response from rich people. But this one guy we knocked on his house and the pillars were seriously like 30 ft high!

We hit a Beaver Squirrel (Groundhog) and Elder Simonson wanted to skin it so he attempted and it didn't turn out so well.

People here have been talking politics like crazy because of Trump's win, and I'm just sitting here twiddling my thumbs like "lol I'm a Canadian"

I failed to take any pictures this week because I'm not very smart at taking pictures, so I guess this is about all I have for Y'all!

PEACE!

Week 74: Bouncin'

Well, we had a pretty stellar P-Day today! We started out by working out at Jake's, and then we cleaned up by going out to a trampoline park! I will attach a video and a picture for Y'all.

Elder Simonson and I have been doing lots of great work lately. Since daylight savings just happened, it gets dark at around 5:30, and the culture here in the south is basically to not knock on anybody's door after dark, but we do it anyway. Haha! Some people get really annoyed but when you fight through all the hard stuff you get blessed with success in the end! Sunday night we ended up teaching 3 lessons when it was pitch black outside to non-members that we knocked into.

Johnson City is the BOMB!

It is Elder Sharp's birthday today so we are going out to Buffalo Wild Wings for dinner. SUPER excited since I've never had it before.

Week 73: Ingrown Toenail

So this last week was pretty fun! We had a good chunk of people show up for church! I also had to give my first Zone Training and that was pretty fun.  We talked about Goal Setting, and emphasized it on setting daily goals for missionary work.

On Tuesday after a few hours of knocking doors I started noticing that my toenail was hurting pretty bad.  It started looking pretty bad, like worse than any other ingrown toenail I've ever had, so I talked to the Mission Doctor and he told me to get it looked at by a professional. Long story short, after limping around for a couple days I got it cut out by a podiatrist! I didn't have the stomach to watch him do the operation so he put a screen up so I couldn't see. It took 4 numbing needles in my one big toe for me to not feel the pain!  The coolest part about the whole situation was that he let me keep the part of toenail that he cut out and it is now chilling in my journal so I can totally send pics if anyone wants to see it!

Right after the surgery I went out knocking doors because my toe was still numb. I was walking a little wonky but it was super fun!

On a side note, I actually took quite a few pics this week so here you go!
